Ketamine & Spravato®

Spravato® (esketamine) and ketamine therapies can produce rapid symptom relief for treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, and other mental health conditions.

If other treatments have failed, then it is time to call us.

Both ketamine and Spravato® work through a fundamentally different chemical pathway than other antidepressants. They promote neuroplasticity, helping the brain strengthen and form new neural connections.

Additionally, there is a "psychedelic" component that can help reframe the way you see the world.

Psychological trauma & ketamine

Psychological trauma can cause an existential crisis.

It leads to existential questions such as "Why did that happen?" & "How do I move on from here?" These are not easy to answer.

Many patients report that the psychedelic experience of ketamine and Spravato® can help them begin to answer these questions.

While it is hard to quantify the effect in research studies, we have found that "leveraging a non-ordinary state of consciousness" can help a person change their mental paradigm.

Spravato® for treatment-resistant depression

Spravato (esketamine) is an FDA-approved formulation of ketamine. It is indicated for treatment-resistant depression or major depressive disorder with suicidal ideation.

It is covered by most major insurance plans as long as a prior authorization is obtained.

Spravato is administered in clinic as a nasal spray. It is approved for patients 18 and older.

The most experienced clinic in San Antonio

Klarisana is one of the most experienced providers of ketamine and Spravato® in the country. Dr. Carl Bonnett founded Klarisana in 2015 when there were just a handful of "ketamine clinics" in the U.S. Today we have six clinics across Texas and Colorado, and we perform well over ten thousand ketamine/Spravato® treatments a year.
